Building Blocks Therapy

Working with bricks activates that side of the brain thats underused in most administration roles. Its the 'hands on' feeling that is so rewarding.

Running with the Forces of Nature

By now the techniques were becoming clear.
That fine art of balance and gravity,
with a heavy dosage of patience and perseverance.
All built with only my two hands.
No glue or any other device to support them.

Its wonderfully simplistic how it all holds itself together. Notice the single brick in the center with nothing holding it up.

One of my favorites.

This one fought hard, but succumbed in the end.

It is entertaining to sit and watch them simply stand there. In harmony with gravity.
Alas, once photographed, each design is dismantled in preparation for the next.

Reaching for the sky

Its not about the bricks or architecture, though you can plainly see it is. Its really about the art of nature. Gravity specifically. Its all working so beautifully to be there.

Brick Art Architecture

It just came to me, like any good muse would, or should.

I needed the therapy of doing something different, my mind full of the days activities, where everything I've done has either gone into or come out of a computer. This weird life. Now nearly normal.

So there were the bricks, just scattered around the garden. Debris really.

I started to build. It was instinctive. Balancing the weights of the bricks on each other. A little game between myself and the forces of gravity. The forces guiding me by trial and error.

And then, look... a little success.
